Born in Zurich in 1932, he lives and works in Zurich. The the Zurich-born artist Kurt J. Haas was influenced by Mark Tobey and Jackson Pollock when he began drawing and painting at the age of 33. Over the years he positioned himself as an outsider and a fantastic artist in the international art scene. His works are strongly reminiscent of tribalist art and his approach to the two - dimensionality is linked to the symbolic and figurative language to early prehistoric cultures.

First artistic attempts in 1968.
