Born in 1959 in Talence, France, he began drawing at a very early age, inspired and supported by his father Gérard Sendrey, a renowned art brut artist. It wasn't until the age of 35 that he began to work seriously in the art world. His paintings feature a rich palette of vivid, evocative colours, figures and shapes, with people and animals as the main motifs. He uses several mediums for a single painting, usually coloured pencils, crayons and gouache. He now lives near Gironde and has taken part in numerous exhibitions to date.
